One of my favourite Hunter Valley reds! Not to be confused with, and I do also like the other Tulloch stable, Keith Tulloch's Kester Shiraz!

Tried this recently, after finding it on special at DMs. This is easily one of the best Philips I have tried. No dirty old Hunter leather or smelly riding boots. Lots of red berry fruit aromas, still with that regionally earthy note. Palate is similar and, though coming in at 14% abv, doesn't have that hot or baked character of Barossa wines. This is worth grabbing a couple of (esp at the prices I am seeing it for currently) and popping away for 4-5 years. Of note, I also recently tried an '04 of this wine which my father had held for a few years and, though a bit on the pongy side initially, it was holding up well. I think the '09 is a better wine all round than the '04, so some cellar time see some nice development

It's widely reported that the launch of the Apple iPad was disapointing to say the least. It wasn't just the expected first generation bugs, or the odd name. It lacks 16:9 support, Flash support, multitasking, SD card slot, HDMI or high-res video output support, USB ports, GPS and the list goes on. It is also exclusive to AT&T's network and the 3G wireless add-on is $130 extra with a data limit of 250MB per month. That's a joke I can burn through that much data in a day on the internet. I would say that some of these missing features will eventually come along but seriously folks; this is a work in progress. Would you want to buy one right now knowing that it really is the 1st generation release complete with bugs and all, I need to be convinced that buying the iPad is going to be a better choice than a notebook.
